About The Author

JC Pohl is a nationally recognized school culture expert, speaker, and licensed counselor who has empowered over 12 million students in 8,000+ schools worldwide.
As the co-founder of TEEN TRUTH, Pohl has spent two decades helping students, educators, and parents build stronger school communities by amplifying student voice and creating authentic connections on campus. His work has inspired audiences at major conferences including CADA, TASC, BOOST, NASC, LEAD, NCSA, ACE, the Texas School Safety Center, and the PTA.
In addition to his speaking work, Pohl created the RISING UP: Coaching Program, a nationally adopted SEL curriculum used by school counselors, the Texas Department of State Health Services, 21st Century ACE Centers, and Communities in Schools to help students develop resilience and leadership skills.
Pohl is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Texas, where he provides counseling through his private practice. He holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Texas State University.
