The TEEN TRUTH: FILM FESTIVAL provides student filmmakers the opportunity to use their voice to challenge audiences across North America.

SUBMIT YOUR FILM

Genres/Length

All films must be AT LEAST thirty (30) seconds and no more than ten (10) minutes in length.  A film submitted will be automatically placed into a genre. Acceptable genres include:

Non-Fiction Live Action

Fiction Live Action

Documentary

Claymation

Animation

 

Categories

Each film submitted will be automatically placed and judged in one of the following categories:

MAKING A DIFFERENCE: A film that features an individual or organization making a difference

MY TRUTH: A film that features a character confronting problems in life which concern his/her truth

TEEN TRUTH: A “Public Service Announcement” or film concerning a social issue

OPEN COMPETITION: A film that showcases any form of student filmmaking

FOUNDER’S AWARD: A film that showcases life, fun, and creativity

Judging

Once received, each submitted film is evaluated by TT representatives for quality of content. Official selections are chosen based on creativity, conceptual approach and relevance. A panel composed of the TT producers and distinguished industry professionals judge the final festival films.

Host a Festival

We invite your community to join this powerful movement and inspire local filmmakers by hosting a TT: FILM FESTIVAL at a local theater, community center, or well-equipped school theater. Our Festival Producer works directly with your local curators to bring the best youth-produced films to your state while working to showcase local filmmakers and live talent.

Eligibility

The festival is open to middle school, high school, and college students ages 12 to 24.

April 23, 2023 – Regular Deadline

June 11, 2023 – Late Deadline
