2019 Has Been An Amazing Year
We are on the road finishing our last few assemblies, summits, and trainings, and you know what? I think you and I need to pat ourselves on the back a little!
I’ve been working in schools since 2006, and I can honestly say that 2019 is the year that the tide turned on mental health. With every school I visited, every one of you that I talked to, every student leader I worked with, I can tell that the focus on mental health is real. And it is already making a huge difference.
I sincerely believe this is an important milestone that we have all reached, and I hope that you will continue building a school culture where students are resilient and your campus feels connected.
It can be hard to see the changes you’re making from the front line, but I can tell you from my front row seat as I watch educators and students and parents work every day at making things just a little better…
It is adding up.
You are making a difference.
We will succeed in making mental health a priority in this country.
So give yourself a second and take a celebratory moment with me here.
🙂
Ok, I know the holidays are a busy time, but for many of our students, the experiences they have on campus can have a big impact entire holiday season. Let’s make that impact positive! In her latest blog, TEEN TRUTH’s school counselor, Penny Knight, offers 3 ways to boost the spirit of giving on campus. CLICK HERE to read the blog or CLICK HERE to download her free lesson plan.
P.S. I know some of you are facing budget cuts as you head into the new semester, so we wanted to create a special offer. Veteran youth speaker Danny Esposito has joined our team, and as a new TEEN TRUTH speaker, we have the opportunity to offer him out to FIVE lucky schools at a discounted rate. If you are interested in hosting a pilot program for this energetic and fun loving speaker, please let me know. You can CLICK HERE to read his bio or email me back to learn more.
